Gold Trading Workflow (XAUUSD)

Use this structured checklist:

1) Pre-trade setup

  • Go to XAUUSD instrument: https://gocharting.com/terminal?ticker=OANDAMT:XAUUSD

  • Select 4h timeframe

  • add a study "ATR - Average True Range"

  • add a study "RSI", configure its upper band to 70 an its lower band to 30

  • Propose to buy gold every time the RSI on 4H touches the lower band. Set the SL to the price = current_price - ATR_value

5) Common mistakes to avoid

  • Trading without a stop-loss.

  • Entering mid-range (no clear level/edge).

  • Overtrading during high-impact news without a plan.
